Why Choose Evolve Massage?
Evolvemassage has been the business name of Clare Anvar MSc, since 2004. Whether you have niggling aches and pains or your illness has been life-changing, I offer clinical therapies to improve every type of physical & emotional pain. I will help you gain control over your symptoms, manage your pain more effectively and take your power back. For many conditions, there is an unrecognised connection to the lymphatic or immune systems, which are not working properly. There is often a link to stress, anxiety, grief & bereavement, which can all have a devastating effect on health. Sometimes, cancer treatments can result in long-term, unwanted side effects. I have extensive experience in all of these areas and can support you to feel better.
Alongside my private practice, I began with an HIV charity for 4 years, before becoming an NHS complementary therapist in Cancer Services at University College Hospital, London. After 3 years, I left to work with people suffering post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders. I then moved to Horder Healthcare where I specialise in recovery from orthopaedic, cosmetic and cancer surgeries. My qualifications are very varied. They include a BSc(Hons) Health Sciences: Remedial Massage & Neuromuscular Therapy, an MSc in Complementary Medicine and training in Casley Smith, Vodder & FG-MLD schools of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. My CV is available on LinkedIn.
Pain, which has been present for longer than a few weeks, usually has a complex cause; often related to stress or anxiety. While this sounds unlikely, stress causes toxic chemical changes in the body, which intensify pain, disrupt sleep patterns & lower your resistance to illnesses. My therapies get to the root of your pain
Treatments for cancer (surgery, radiotherapy & chemotherapy) can cause some unpleasant side effects. I offer specialist therapies to detoxify, reduce neuropathy caused by chemo, free cording & relax movement restrictions caused by radiotherapy. Lymphoedema can be treated with MLD & compression.
The recent acknowledgement of a 'new organ called the interstitium' will hopefully raise awareness for all inflammatory conditions, which respond so well to MLD & myofascial release. Overactive histamine, 'fight, flight or freeze' responses and overstimulated nervous system reactions can all be calmed & balanced.
Known for years as 'yuppy flu', these debilitating disorders are still poorly understood. They can be made worse with hormonal fluctuations & imbalances, stress, over exertion or anything perceived as a threat, including massage that is too deep. MLD to detoxify, boost & regulate the immune system is very beneficial.

As a Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist, the best known professional body in the UK is probably MLDuk. However, the British Lymphology Society (BLS) is another professional body for therapists, which also holds a professional therapists’ directory. They work tirelessly to improve the lives of people with lymphoedema and to promote professional standards of those treating […]
As well as influencing the neuromuscular system, kinesio taping also influences the myofascial and lymphatic systems (together forming the name lymphascial). The myofascia or interstitium, is the area between the skin and the organs. It is like a fatty, fluidy yellow onesie, which maintains a watery environment between the cells so that the exchange of […]
What is Kinesio Tape? Kinesio tapes are elastic, therapeutic tapes, which were originally invented in the 1970’s by Korean chiropractor, Kenzo Kase. He found the non-elastic tapes that were available, did not allow injuries and joints to mobilise. This led to muscular wastage and longer healing times. Kinesio taping is probably best known in the UK […]
